GO EAST: Tuck into Bengali food
It's going to be a Bengali treat for Coimbatoreans, beginning May 26. Nearly 120 varieties of the finest vegetarian and non-vegetarian Bengali delicacies can be relished at the 10-day food festival at The Residency.
It will be a buffet dinner on weekdays and a quintessential Bengali lunch and dinner on Sunday. The fish crazy can feed on exquisite macher jhol and macher kalia while it's going to be shukho, mutter kachori and a whole range of dals to woo the vegetarians.
Each meal will feature three non-vegetarian, eight vegetarian and five on-the-spot dishes.
Apart from popular Bengali dishes, the festival will also introduce a dash of Kolkata street food to tease the palate. You can start your feast with chowringee rolls and jhal muri. Priced at Rs. 325 (nett) for adults and Rs. 200 for children.
