If banking is an obsession for Munirtanam Naidu, supporting him throughout is Kasturi's passion, says Deepa Raparla

The satisfaction I get from the job is immense Naidu
The couple, which has woven a wonderful and warm relationship together for more than 37 years, is as down to earth as they are forthright in narrating their success story.
A story beginning with an exciting teen encounter and graduating into a fruitful marital bliss. Munirathnam Naidu, Deputy General Manager and Circle Head, Indian Bank, is all enthused as he starts with the itsy-bitsy details of his personal and professional life. Talking about his daily life, Naidu is convinced that his work is more than just a routine for him. There have been a number of challenging moments. Giving him the best support at such times is Kasturi, his never-failing better half.
The lady is poised and determined and never tired of providing strength to her husband in meeting his professional commitments.
Teen marriage
Strange but true, that the marital journey of the couple began when they were in their teens. "I was 16 and he, 19. It was too early. But, it happened and the relationship worked," she smiles.
Banking is more than a daily routine for Naidu. He never feels bored of being into the same field for 37 years, doing the same thing daily for several years at a stretch.
Naidu is still awed by banking and he does it with a touch of class and a renewed vigour each passing day. It remains the invigorating and cherishing subject throughout.
Being meticulous and making right decision is necessary for a perfect banker, Naidu feels.
If you think that only the rich can financially help the needy, well, you are in for a change. A banker is indeed a man who has the rare opportunity to help people become financially sound.
"The satisfaction I get from the job is immense. I can't help being a banker 24x7," grins Naidu.
Five places
The couple had the opportunity to savour the lifestyle of five different States. Of the five places, their stay in Tirupati and Ahmedabad are memorable. Chirapunji near Shillong being their favourite tourist spot and Tirupati being their oft-visited pilgrimage center, the duo has quite a few memories of their cozy trips.
Munching on Kadai veg, chicken curry and butter naan, all catered to satiate their appetite, the couple was completely at ease as they went down the memory lane.
"My wife is an excellent chef. She is best at sambhar which is my favourite item," chuckles Naidu. Their three children, who are all well established, have been groomed with discipline.
The couple never failed to impart all the good things of life to their offspring.
Now, having fun with grandchildren is their favourite pastime and almost a routine.
Life is smooth and happy, states the couple. With their grandson Karthi seated beside, and being pampered, they only seemed overjoyed to spend the evening in his playful company.
While watching the daily TV soaps goes well with Kasturi, Naidu prefers a long walk in the morning after which he likes reading books.
