    Kirsten returns to address media

Karachi (PTI): After the Indian cricket team initially gave the mediapersons a miss for the customary match-eve interaction, coach Gary Kirsten returned to face the angry scribes ahead of the Asia Cup final against Sri Lanka here on Sunday.

Around 25 journalists, many of them Indians, had waited at the National Stadium to talk to the Indian captain M S Dhoni or coach Gary Kirsten but to their surprise they saw the entire entourage of cricketers and support staff leaving the stadium after a lengthy net session.

Later, after frenetic messages to the Indian team management, Kirsten returned to the stadium to address the disgruntled media.

The Sri Lankans had held their nets at the stadium in the morning and their captain Mahela Jayawrdene addressed the media before leaving for their team hotel.
