Music fest

Maithri Vidhya Kendram (Academy of Music and Dance) (Ph: 2479 0223; 98411 35312) conducts its music festival from December 28 – 30, at Sudharma Auditorium, Sree Seva Mandir, K.K. Salai, Saligramam. The Guest of Honour at the inauguration today, at 6 p.m., will be violin vidwan M. Chandrasekaran. He will also release the CD album, ‘Sree Govinda Padam,’ composed by Prapancham Ravindran. Harmonium vidwan Palladam Venkata Ramana Rao presides. The occasion will also mark the launch of MVK website, by V.V. Subramanian, director (marketing division) Prasar Bharathi, Chennai.

Concerts

A series of music concerts will be organised under the auspices of Ambattur Visakaa Irai Isai Peravai Trust from January 2 to 8. The event, ‘Tyagabrahma Utsavam,’ will be held at Shree Kailash Mahal, Mounaswami Mutt Road, Ambattur.
