Sivarathri series
BHARATIYA VIDYA Bhavan has organised a Sivaratri series between March 12 and 19 at its Sri Venkata Auditorium.
The series will commence with a rendition of `Bhakti Bhavanubhavam', kirtanas on Lord Siva, by the Sugandhikuntala Trust, on March 12 at 4.45 p.m., followed by a Carnatic recital by T. V. Sankaranarayanan (6.30 p.m.).
On March 13, O. S. Thyagarajan presents a vocal concert (6.45 p.m.). Nityashree Mahadevan will perform on March 14 (6.45 p.m.) and on the following day Sreekala Bharat will render a thematic Bharatanatyam presentation (6.45 p.m.).A book by Geetha Ravikumar, ``The Concept and Evolution of Raga in Hindustani and Karnatic Music'', will be released on the 19th at 6.45 p.m. She will later give a vocal recital at 7.30 p.m.
